At the 2014 ACM Special Interest Group on Computer Science Education (SIGCSE) Symposium in Atlanta, GA, we displayed dozens of leading titles for Computer Science education, including Linda Null and Julia Lobur’s just published The Essentials of Computer Organization and Architecture, Fourth Edition. More than 1,300 instructors, students, and professionals from all over the world visited our booth to get an inside peak at our biggest Computer Science titles.

The SIGCSE Technical Symposium addresses problems common among educators working to develop, implement, and/or evaluate computing programs, curricula, and courses. The symposium provides a forum for sharing new ideas for syllabi, laboratories, and other elements of teaching and pedagogy, at all levels of instruction. The symposium also provides a diverse selection of technical sessions and opportunities for learning and interaction.

Visitors to the Jones & Bartlett Learning booth not only received a 20% discount off our titles, but also had the opportunity to win a new iPad Mini if they watched a short demo of Navigate Computer Science.

Cathy Esperti, our Publisher, greeted booth attendees along with Laura Pagluica, Acquisitions Editor, Meghan McCauley, Director of Curriculum Solutions, Rainna Erikson, Associate Program Manager, Cassie Peterson, Associate Marketing Manager, and Account Specialists Stephanie Pessolano and Amanda Chagnon. We also had some surprise visits from some of our authors including Richard Detmer, Hervé Franceschi, Stan Warford, and Catherine Ricardo.

Thanks to everyone who attended, especially those who were able to stop by and enjoy a drink with us and our authors during our 4th annual networking booth reception. We hope to see you again next year in Kansas City! Couldn’t make it to Atlanta this year? Visit our website for a full list of our Computer Science titles or contact your Account Specialist today.
